was noisy and the meals(lunch) took forever-at least 40 mins after they were ordered. I was so hungry I could have eaten a horse and chased the jockey!
$26 for scrambled egg was outrageous-I won’t be going back!
I was really excited to have breakfast here after popping in for coffee the previous day and seeing the food on display (it looked amazing) and the beautiful space. We waited for about 5 mins for someone to seat us, while multiple staff walked by ignoring us, then we were sat in a windy spot and when we ask politely if we could move to another empty table, the staff member was abrupt and rude. We had to borrow menus from the table next to us. We ordered coffee and waited 20 mins for it to arrive. In this time we watched the wait staff hug each other, text on their phone, chat in small groups, and no one came to take our order. I kept trying to catch their eye but they studiously ignored us. When our coffee arrived we drank it and left and went elsewhere for breakfast. I can’t rate the food properly as our order was never taken. Very disappointing!
Picked up a birthday cake, and it was tasteless and dry.
Good food, but there was a bit of a wait.
Alimentari remains one of the most reliably tasty brunch spots in Melbourne. The coffee is heavenly, corn fritters are a delight, and the hash is an upgrade from your ordinary eggs benny. Only complaint is that it’s not closer to home. 💕
We knew it would be good but today's Sunday lunch exceeded our expectations, the food was incredible, the staff were amazing, the courtyard setting just divine... 5 stars!!!
Very very poor service. Overpriced from what I looked at the menu. But walked in a lady told us to sit down and then another waiter male asked if we had Speke to the host and I said no just a lady behind the counter told us to sit. His reply was sorry you need our host to sit you find you a table. So we got up and left. Plain and simple I will log spend my money somewhere where I am told what to do. I wouldn’t be visiting this please tbh. Overpriced and rude staff and not a big selection of food.
Delicious food, very generous serves, outstanding, friendly staff and really great service, set in a terrific location. Outstanding way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Book a table in courtyard at the rear, next to the Garden Gnomes, you won’t be disappointed…
